Privacy Policy

Effective date: [January 19, 2026]

This Privacy Policy explains how LunyPaws LLC (“LunyPaws,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Questions? Email support@lunypaws.com.

1) Scope and US-only Service

The Service is intended for users in the United States. We do not intentionally market the Service outside the United States.

2) Information we collect

A. Information you provide

  • Account information (e.g., name, email, username, password or password hash, and preferences such as timezone).
  • Contact information you choose to add (e.g., phone number, household contacts, emergency contacts).
  • Pet Content you choose to store, such as pet profiles, care details, notes, logs, and uploaded documents. Pet Content may include animal health information (for example, veterinary records, vaccination history, prescriptions, lab results, or care instructions) if you choose to upload or enter it.
  • Sharing information (e.g., invitations you send, access permissions you set, and actions recipients take within the permissions you grant).
  • Support communications (e.g., messages you send to support and any attachments you provide).

B. Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data (e.g., pages/screens viewed, features used, links clicked, and actions taken) to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Device and technical data (e.g., IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP).
  • Log and security data (e.g., access logs, error logs, and audit events) to keep the Service secure and reliable.
  • Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 7.

C. Payments (Stripe)

  • Billing: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited billing information such as payment status, card brand and last four digits, billing postal code, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (create accounts, host content, provide features, and process your requests).
  • Enable owner-controlled sharing (apply the permissions you configure and facilitate collaboration with people you invite).
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe).
  • Secure the Service (authentication, MFA where enabled, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and incident response).
  • Communicate with you (service emails, account notices, security alerts, support responses, and administrative messages).
  • Improve and troubleshoot (analytics, debugging, feature development, and service performance).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, policies, and rights.

4) How sharing and downloads work (important)

You control sharing. LunyPaws allows you (the pet owner/account holder) to invite helpers and professionals to view and/or add Pet Content based on the permissions you choose. People you invite may be able to see, upload, modify, or add Pet Content according to the access you grant.

  • Access you grant: You choose what a recipient can see or do, and you can change permissions.
  • Revoking access: You can revoke access at any time. After revocation, the recipient should no longer be able to access Pet Content through the Service.
  • Downloads and copies: The Service allows users to upload and download documents. If you permit recipients to view or access documents/content, they may be able to download, copy, or capture it (for example, saving files or screenshots). We are not responsible for how recipients use information outside the Service once you choose to share it.
  • No mass profile export (currently): We do not currently provide a single-click “mass export” of your entire account or pet profile. You may download individual documents where the Service provides download functionality.

5) How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

A. Service providers (processors)

We use vendors to help provide and operate the Service (for example, payment processing, file storage, and email delivery). These vendors are authorized to process information only to provide services to us and must protect it. Our vendors include:

  • Stripe (payments and subscription billing)
  • Cloudflare R2 (file storage for uploaded documents and related content)
  • SendGrid (transactional email delivery, such as invites and service notices)
  • Google Workspace (email and internal productivity tools used to operate the business and support users)

B. Within LunyPaws sharing (at your direction)

We disclose Pet Content to recipients only as you configure and direct through sharing.

C. Legal, compliance, and safety

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to protect the rights, safety, and security of LunyPaws, our users, or others; or to investigate fraud or security issues.

D. Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

6) Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service.

  • Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account. We will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify information associated with your account, subject to lawful exceptions (for example, security logs, billing records, dispute resolution, and backups).
  • Backups: Residual copies may persist for a limited period in backup or archival systems.

7) Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, enable core functionality, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may affect functionality.

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is not a consistent industry standard, the Service may not respond to these signals.

8) Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing, including under certain US state privacy laws.

  • Access/Update: You can access and update certain information through your account settings.
  • Delete: You can request deletion by contacting support@lunypaws.com.
  • Sharing controls: You can manage and revoke sharing permissions in the Service.
  • Email preferences: You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails (if any). You will still receive essential service and security messages.

California privacy notice

We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the manner defined by certain state privacy laws. If we ever change these practices, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-out mechanisms.

9) Security and incident notice

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will provide notifications to affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.

10) HIPAA and medical disclaimer

LunyPaws is not a healthcare provider, and the Service is not designed to diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. LunyPaws is not subject to HIPAA. You should not upload information you consider highly sensitive unless you are comfortable storing it in the Service.

11) Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Policy on this page and updating the effective date, and/or by email if appropriate.
